5 Steps to letting go of Fear

Fear can be debilitating. Keeping us stuck in stories of the past, holding us back from living our dream lives.

Take these 5 steps to help you let go of fear and learn to find more courage in your life

1. Embrace the fear

Acknowledge that the fear is there, ignoring it wont make it go way. Don’t try to resist it, hide from it or fix. Whether it’s writing it down, saying it out loud or telling a friend. Lovingly and with compassion acknowledge it’s there.

2. Get outside your comfort zone

do one thing each day that gets you out of your comfort zone. Whether it’s talking to someone you don’t know, doing something you’ve never done, trying out that new yoga/gym class or something as simple as taking a different route to work. Just do something different.

3. Take small steps

Set yourself up for success. There’s no point booking yourself to run a marathon next weekend if you’ve never run a day before in your life. All you’ll be doing is setting yourself up for failure and  next thing you know those little doubt demons have reared their ugly heads. Take small steps that take you in the direction of your dreams.

4. Find your tribe

Surround yourself with people who challenge themselves, who lift your up rather than tear you down. There’s nothing like having the support of friends and loved ones to tear away those fears and help elevate you to another level.

5. Listen to your heart

Let go of the stories of the mind and drop down in the home of your heart.
